a brief history:

With the publication of his first research article in 1998 at the age of 23, Andy Louis-Charles began the singular passion of his life: turning tacit individual knowledge into applied community wisdom. He believes that communities that rely on traditional governmental “top-down” revitalization techniques are in danger of extinction while those that focus on grassroots Wisdomship™, leading through the strength of collective thought and experience, will own the future.

Along the way, Andy Louis-Charles has received a Bachelors of Industrial & Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech where he was inducted into the ANAK Society, the highest senior honor and graduated from the University of Florida College of Law, with a Juris Doctorate cum laude. In 2001, he won Harvard Business School’s AASU – Entrepreneurial Ventures Business Plan Competition and was later named a Fannie Mae Foundation Scholar.

Since 2000, Andy has focused on bringing innovation and “collective wisdom” to real estate investment and economic development. Andy Louis-Charles has owned or been a partner and managed or co-managed several real estate investment partnerships, limited companies, and funds. He has both public and private development experience and maintains active ownership interests in several real estate ventures throughout the Southeast. Andy has previously served as CEO of one of his portfolio companies, Wind & Rain Properties, Inc., and continues to serve as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors and as the Chief Information Officer.

Andy is the Founder and Managing Director of the Landist Society Ltd. Co., a private equity / real estate holding company. Andy also serves as a strategic advisor and angel investor in several growth companies which promote his NOT-ONLY-FOR-PROFIT™ business approach. Andy serves as the Nominating Chair on the Board of Kristi House, Inc, a child advocacy center, and the Coconut Grove Collaborative, an economic development corporation. He lives in Coconut Grove, Florida.
